Mr. Abutu Kapori, having served as the Registrar to the Gonja Traditional Council with humility, truth, honesty and an outmost commitment for 11 years has on Thursday 25th April, 2024 formaly introduced the new registrar of the Gonja Traditional Council Mr. Christian Kudjo Kuki to the King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom and the council members whilst bidding farewell to the Council members.
Mr. Abutu Kapori, During a Gonja Traditional Council meeting at the Yagbonwura’s palace delivered a heartfelt message officially informing members and the entire kingdom of his depature as the registrar of the coumcil whilst taking position as the Registrar of the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs.
According to Kapori, it was an honour and privilege serving degnified personalities such as chiefs, queen mothers, private individuals, institutions and associations all in the quest of building the Gonja Kingdom every one desire whilst upholding the values, traditions and principles of the revered Council.
Highlighting remarkable milestone achievements that he achieved together with members of the Council, Kapori said it is through a collective efforts that the Council under his watch as the registrar facilitated the construction of a fence wall, paving of the Jakpa Palace, molding of 10,000 blocks at Nyage, an architectural design for the Nyange redevelopment project, and the expansion of the palace hall.
On the creation of the Savannah region, Mr. Kapori said it was under his watch as the registrar to the council that saw the submission of a petition of a substantial demand for the region’s creation, whose action that gave birth to the Savannah region that everyone is boastful of today.
“Some achievements of the Gonja Traditional Counicl under my watch as registrar to the Counci include the donation of text books in susbstantial quantities such as Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies to all Senior High Schools in the Gonja Kingdom and asphalting the Jakpa Palace, with this and many more creating a dignified and serene environment for smooth and appreciated activities and events at the Palace.”he said.
Mr. Kapori said he is proud to be part of the processes for building the desired Kingdom saying, in his era of humble service saw the frantic efforts in facilitating the first Honorary award of Professorship to the late King Yagbonwura Tuntunmba Bore Essa I from the university of Trade and Economics Ukraine in respect of peace, his outstanding and invaluable contributions to general development.
“Our revered King and members of the Council, Kapori is a human and one way or the other might have stepped on one’s toes in the course of discharging my duties at the traditional council level. At this juncture, i pray for forgiveness and unity if somebody was hurt in the discharge of my duties as registrar of the council and vice versa.” parts of the message read as he calls for continuous unity and ask for forgiveness.
He extended a deepest gratitude to each and every member and the kingdom as whole for their unwavering support, collaboration and commitment to the traditional council.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kapori is to transit to a new role as the Registrar to the Savannah Region House of Chiefs, overseeing six traditional councils. He therefore appealed for unwavering support for the new Registrar saying they should embrace him with same spirit of camaraderie and dedication that has defined the council’s work as he introduces the new officer (Registrar).
