Beneficiaries of the Business in a Box (BizBox) training program in Damongo received work and trade kits on December 3, 2025, marking the completion of their entrepreneurship training.
The distribution ceremony, held at the Damongo Community Centre in the Savannah Regional Capital, was led by the Municipal Chief Executive for West Gonja, Hon. Yussif Yakubu Castro, who presented the starter kits to graduates of the skills development initiative.
The event brought together key stakeholders including the Municipal Coordinating Director, Regional and Municipal Ghana Enterprise Agency managers, Hon. Assembly Members among others.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Yakubu expressed satisfaction with their commitment to personal development and community impact. “It is an honour for me to be here today to address you on the occasion of the distribution of startup kits to all very good professional and trade persons,” the MCE stated.
He pledged the Municipal Assembly’s continued support, assuring participants of opportunities to engage in upcoming developmental projects across the Savannah Region.

Several beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the training and starter equipment, which will enable them to establish and operate their own businesses.

The BizBox program aims to equip unemployed youth and aspiring entrepreneurs with practical skills and resources needed to start income-generating ventures, contributing to job creation and economic development in the municipality.
