Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto also sent a delegation which include his linguist, a sub chief from Damongo Traditional Area and the Registrar of the Savannah Region of Chiefs to visit the site and to have first hand information about the place.

Speaking to the media after an inspection of the newly discovered spring water site, the Registrar of the Savannah Region House of Chiefs Mr. Abutu Kapori said HRM Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I who is passionate about tourism has said apart from the spring water in Murugu, this is the second spring water site to be discovered in the Savannah Region, therefore, the Overlord is calling on various stakeholders to bring their ideas and expertise together to develop the site and protect it for future generation.

Mr. Kapori said it is strange to see water oozing out from a dry land in the Northern part of Ghana during the dry season and that alone makes the site unique.

The Registrar further added that the Overlord will collaborate with the ministery of tourism to give the place a face lift for it to serve as a tourist attraction area which will go a long way to boost tourism and economic activities in the area.

The linguist of the Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom Mr. Sulemana Adam said the Yagbonwura is admonishing the Kikpandewura to protect the site by building a fence around it and employ a guard to take care of the spring water.

The Assembly man for the Kpalbuso Electoral Area in the North East Gonja District Assembly Hon. Mahama Awal said he collaborated with the traditional authorities to put a temporal fence in order to protect the spring water.

The Assembly man added that aside its social and economic benefits, the spring water will also benefit the people spiritually.
