The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Damongo constituency, Hon. Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor has filed nomination to contest for the Damongo constituency parliamentary seat in the up coming December 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Speaking to the media after he filed his nomination at the Damongo constituency Electoral Commission’s office on Tuesday September 10, 2024 Hon. Abu Jinapor applauded the party stalwarts for their unmeasured contributions to the victory of the party in 2020.
“I want to thank my party, the New patriotic party regional and constituency executives and the rank and file of the party in the Savannah region and Damongo constituency in particular for the confidence repossed in me”. He said
The Damongo Constituency legislature said this is the second time he had the opportunity to run on the ticket of the NPP unopposed in the Damongo Constituency, and that a lot of works have been done in the Damongo constituency in all facets of lives in the Constituency.
“from agriculture to education, to infrastructure, to social amenities, to empowerment, to all the various aspects of human enterprise the party and the government have done tremendously well in the Damongo Constituency and the 2024 elections is three months away and a lot more will be done”. Abu Jinapor added.
He assured constituents that the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) policy which is brought by H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s government will be used for roads construction, making transportation and economic activities easy in the constituency as well as the region as a whole.
“I want to assure the party that we are going to work flat out, continue to work flat out to retain the constituency for the new patriotic party God willing”.
He encouraged the party supporters to work hard to ensure that the entire Savannah region and Damongo constituency in particular contributes greatly to breaking the eight and making Dr. Alhaji Mahmoudu Bawumia the next president of Ghana
The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo constituency, expressed gratitude to the Electoral Commission in the Damongo constituency for making the process smooth and accepting his nomination, therefore, making him the official Parliamentary Candidate for the new patriotic party for the Damongo constituency.
