Abu Jinapor, the Member of Parliament for Damongo, has been conferred with the title of Tumalana (Chief of Works) by the Dagomba community in the Damongo constituency. This honor was bestowed upon him during a colorful ceremony at Sumpini in the Busunu traditional area on Saturday, December 30, 2024.
The Dagomba community, led by the Youth Chairman, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Abu Jinapor for his tireless efforts in bringing massive development to their communities. They recalled how, in 2020, he sought their mandate to represent them in Ghana’s parliament, despite being told that he would abandon them and redirect their privileges to his hometown of Buipe in the Central Gonja District.
The community praised Abu Jinapor for his numerous developmental projects, including the expansion of telecommunications networks, electrification, healthcare, and education. They promised to support him and Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming December 7 elections, anticipating a massive victory.
Abu Jinapor expressed his deepest gratitude to the Dagomba community for the honor bestowed upon him. He appealed for their votes in the upcoming election, promising to deliver even more developmental projects. Notably, he mentioned that he won all Dagomba-dominated polling stations in the constituency during the 2020 elections and is confident of an even more resounding victory this time around.
As part of his commitment to the community, Abu Jinapor commissioned a Junior High School block at Sumpini, which will serve several communities. This marks a significant milestone, as the community has never had a Junior High School before.
Abu Jinapor’s dedication to the Damongo constituency is evident in his tireless efforts to bring development and progress to the area. His commitment to education, healthcare, and infrastructure is a testament to his leadership and vision for the community.
