S/R – Sir Martin’s Memorial School Award Best Teacher with a brand new motorbike.

The Sir Martin’s Memorial School on the 27th of January 2024 celebrated their routine annual dinner and awards night with the staff at the Home Touch hotel conference hall in Damongo of the Savannah region. In attendance was the Ghana Education Service, Savannah region association of private school, parents of the school, staff, and the media.

In a welcome address, the proprietress of the Sir Martin’s Memorial School, Joana Wuriya Ewuntomah said that the Sir Martin’s Memorial School is standard and afraid of nothing because of its teachers and they are worthy of celebrating today, tomorrow, and the future. Hence, the dinner and the awards will motivate and encourage them to do more of the good work they have been doing.

She added that whoever you are, wherever you are you can make a great difference and she is very happy to see that with God by her side, the small idea of making the wonderful workers the opportunity to see that hard work tastes good and different has come to a success.


The Sir Martin’s Memorial School has been in existence for five(5) years now and since, the School has been grooming both pupils and teachers to be sustainable leaders for the wider community and respecting nature, and of course, the environment has also been one utmost thing they do.


“I’m very proud to say that the Sir Martin’s Memorial School has developed in various ways. Right from the classroom to competitions outside the classroom, outside Damongo, and building partnerships outside Ghana to pave the way to make our pupils world citizens”. She said

The proprietress further said the success of the Sir Martin’s Memorial School is celebrating its success because of the collaboration between the parents and the school. The teachers of the Sir Martin’s Memorial School are so dedicated and this dedication has developed the school. The noble teachers have made the school standard and are afraid of nothing. So we celebrate you today, tomorrow, and forever.

The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Sir Martin’s Memorial School, Mr. Joachim Ewuntomah said the mission of the school is
“To provide high-quality education and training appropriate to their stage and cognitive development. We offer our kids a challenging and fun environment to master what they have been taught for a positive future for them and their families, the careers of our staff, and the future of our wider community” and the vision is
“To be at the forefront of education by providing our kids with refined and developed teachings that would nurture their individual talents towards respecting nature and giving them sustainable lifetime careers”

He thanked the parents, staff, and partners for their collaborative efforts and support over the years and for making the Sir Martin’s Memorial School one of the best in the Savannah region.

Winners of the various categories nominated and voted amongst the parents and the teachers won cushioning prizes ranging from certificates, hampers, ceiling fans, TV sets, standing fans, refrigerators, and motorbikes.

The overall winner who won a Luojia Mapuka motorbike, Mahama Ganiu, on behalf of his colleague teachers and contestants thanked the management of the school for appreciating their work. He has pledged to work more extra for the success of the school.
