Ukaid in collaboration with the Mole National Park has held a one day training workshop for 20 selected community members sharing boundaries with the Park on the need to conserve wildlife.
The workshop is to pilot a system of community rangers to support law enforcement, collaboration, and communication with the Mole National Park in their various catchment areas.
The workshop also aims at winning the support of local communities around the Mole National Park through collaborative management, teamwork and leadership.
In an interview with Mr Ndego Martin Abodiba assistant law enforcement officer of Mole National Park who also happens to be the project coordinating officer for the project, he elaborated the need for the training stating categorically why there is the need to protect our natural reserve resources and the benefits the trainees stand to achieve.
The workshop is sponsored by the Ukaid with the aid of illegal wildlife challenge fund
