His Royal Majesty, Kongwura Jinkurige (I) is on a trip to the United States of America.
This follows his invitation to participate in a workshop at the university of Arizona US.
The purpose of his trip is focused on meeting faculty across campus, and researching agricultural and environmental issues pertinent to the Savannah Region and Governance in Ghana.
The arrival of HRM Kongwura Jinkurge (I) was welcomed by Mr. Rashid Iddrisu Wari, the CEO of World Institute of Africa Culture and Traditions (WIACT) at the Tucson Arizona Airport,USA.
Meanwhile, the event will be hosted by the college of social and Behavioral Science/Human Right practice programs as part of their research practice partnership with the world Institute of Africa Culture and Traditions in Sawla (WIACT).
His Royal Majesty, Kongwura Jinkurige (I) is expected to present on Colonial legacies for Gonja and Northern Ghana, including governance pluralism (National and Tradition in Ghana) and subsequently have an engagement with prominent farmers and rangers to enhance conflict free and peaceful co-existence among farmers and Fulbe in Ghana.
The workshop however, shall feature a panel presentation by Dr.Mamadou Baro and professor Mette Brogden, on Savannah Region at the Society for Applied Anthropology (SFAA) Annual Conference at Santa Fe, New Mexico with over 1,800 attendees expected at the conference.
