Savannah Regional Minister Visit Chairman Kalamonia to Sympathize With Him For His Lost Properties.

The Savannah Regional minister, Hon. Saeed Muhazu Jibril has visited the Savannah Regional chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana popularly known as Professor Kalamonia at his private residence at Gumani in Tamale of the Northern Region to sympathize with him following the Sunday fire outbreak that guttered and destroyed all his properties.

Alhaji Kalamonia’s 15 bedroom house in Gumani, a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region, got burnt by fire on Sunday February 11, 2024 and destroyed all his belongings and other family relatives who are under his care.

Properties including Motor bikes, mattresses, Television sets, clothes, among other valuable items were razed down by the fire.

Speaking to Spear fm during his visit to the affected residence, Hon. Muhazu described the incident as very devastating and urged the hardworking chairman to be strong especially during this trying times.

“What can i say, it’s the will of God all that I want to say is to encourage my regional chairman and that he has to be strong in this trying times. These are just trying times for every human being so God has a way of testing the faith of people”, He added.

The minister further appealed to all philanthropists and all well wishes to come to the aid of the Regional chairman.

“We have to find a way of helping him to bring him up again because i don’t think this house can be renovated again, looking at how the walls are all weak. It means it now calls for a complete new building.

He also revealed that as a matter of urgency, he took time out of his busy schedule just to come and see the level of damage for himself, adding that the party executives in the Savannah region are yet to meet to come out with ways to support their chairman.

Meanwhile the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have since commenced investigation into the cause of the fire.
