The maiden edition of the Budafest Female Gala competition came to a thrilling conclusion on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, at the Jinapor II stadium in Buipe. The one-day tournament, aimed at enhancing talent identification and development for female footballers in the Savannah region, saw four teams vie for top honors.
Competing Teams:
- Kurawurakura Inter Miami Ladies
- Larbanga Ladies
- Buipe Dragon Ladies
- Yagbon Ladies
Group Stage:
Group A consisted of Larbanga Ladies and Yagbon Ladies, while Group B comprised Buipe Dragon Ladies and Kurawurakura Inter Miami Ladies.
Match Results:
- Larbanga Ladies edged Yagbon Ladies 1-0 in the group stage.
- Buipe Dragon Ladies dominated Kurawurakura Inter Miami Ladies 1-0, setting the stage for the knockout matches.
- Yagbon Ladies bounced back from their earlier loss, defeating Kurawurakura Inter Miami Ladies 1-0 in the third-place match.
- Buipe Dragon Ladies delivered a stunning performance, thrashing Larbanga Ladies 4-1 to claim the championship title.
