Former MP and NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Damongo Constituency, Adam Mutawakilu has claimed that under his tenure, Damongo witnessed more development than the regime of Abu Jinapor and the NPP.
The former legislature made this claim on Spear FM’s personality profile on Friday, September 6, 2024.
Garlus, as he is fondly called, said his achievements as MP for the area far exceeds that of his opponent interms of development.
Although he said some of the developments that came to the constituency were central government projects, his critical role in the realization of those projects cannot be overlooked especially the Damongo-Fufulso road.
According to him, he performed remarkably well in every sector of the economy especially water and sanitation, rural electrification, health and education.
He noted that he constructed a lot of boreholes for the constituents to augment the struggle they go through in search for water adding that most of them are still functioning and serving their purposes up till now as compared to his opponent’s “shabby” borehole projects.
“There is no village or community in the constituency that I have not left an indelible mark. Just mention any of the communities you know in the constituency and i will point at what i have there during my tenure as MP”, he bragged.
The former Damongo lawmaker said his return to the fray is to come and assist bring an end to the Damongo water problem when voted for again as MP for the constituency.
He used the opportunity to appeal to electorates to return him to Parliament by voting massively for him to continue to champion the cause of Damongo.
